A Call to ACTION
For 2014, I made a covenant between myself and God that I would step outside my comfort zone by being bold. After making purposeful strides in 2013, I set out to be even more intentional about living out God’s purpose for my life. Joining and actively participating in professional organizations, taking on more service opportunities, and creating a vision to enhance my overall quality of life to ultimately be of better service, are just a few of the ways that I live out loud.
If you haven’t noticed, I’m the quirky girlfriend that has a list of social causes that I care about and encourage my circle of friends to do so as well. Maybe it’s my Bed-Stuy upbringings combined with having a sincere servants heart, that motivates and inspire me to get M.A.D (make a difference) every chance I get.
This past Friday I was afforded a once in a lifetime opportunity to participate in the 16th annual National Action Network 2014 C0nvention whose keynote was the President of the United States of America, Barack Obama! He delivered a speech that was not only moving but served as a confirmation that we all have a responsibility to be change agents within our communities: A Call to ACTION!
POTUS highlighted the many accomplishments of his administration however; explicitly spoke of the challenges we continue to face in various areas. My question is; how willing are you to support the important work of our leaders because the bottom line is, they can’t do it all.

Great…taking action. Living a PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE. HIS purpose. GOD BLESS. CONGRATULATIONS! The elders have become weary and tired;however, the torch has been passed and what an excellent job. Well done my sister! The elders are well pleased with the NEW GATEKEEPER! Impress, motivate, challenge, uplift, and unite. Well done! 🙂

Thank you for your support and kind words Edith. We have to train-up the next generation of leaders and community activist. We are our brothers/sisters keeper!
