How will you spend your MLK day, ON or OFF?
In 2013 we commemorated the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. With reaching that milestone, todays leaders outlined a current agenda during the “Realized the Dream” march on Washington DC last August, lead by the Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network.
As we approach this coming Monday, which is recognized as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, let us remember that it is a National Day of Service. Let us use this day to reconnect and recommit ourselves, as well as our families to the dream that Dr. King died for. In honor of all past and present civil rights leaders, we can stand united on this day. How will you spend your MLK day, ON or OFF?
Find a service project here, no matter where you are within the United States. Whether an individual or group; adult only or inclusive of children, lets lead by example by way of showing our children and youth that we all can do something to contribute to making our communities better.
Please share information on projects that you’re aware of and/or hit me up to find out more information. Spread Love, It’s The BrooKlyn Kisha Way!
